These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of RunSSLCheck (“Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
RunSSLCheck is a free online tool that connects to hostnames you provide and returns information about their SSL/TLS certificates. The Service is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute security, legal, or professional advice.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to scan systems you do not own or have permission to test
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service
- Use automated means to send excessive requests or abuse rate limits
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
3. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that results will be complete, accurate, or up to date at all times. Certificate and TLS configuration can change between checks.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of or reliance on the Service.
5. Intellectual property
The RunSSLCheck name, branding, and website content are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our materials without prior written consent.
6. Advertising & analytics
RunSSLCheck uses Google Analytics and Google AdSense. By using the Service, you acknowledge that Google may collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy, including through cookies used for analytics and advertising. Ad content is provided by third parties and we do not control which ads are displayed.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
