Our mission

We built RunSSLCheck because verifying SSL certificates should be fast, accurate, and accessible to everyone — whether you are troubleshooting a deployment, auditing a site, or checking expiry before renewal.

What we check

• Certificate validity and browser trust
• Hostname match (Common Name and Subject Alternative Names)
• Expiry date and days remaining
• Full certificate chain, including intermediate certificates
• Key type, size, and signature algorithm
• Supported TLS protocol versions

How it works

When you submit a hostname, RunSSLCheck opens a real TLS connection to the server and reads the certificate it presents. Results are generated on the fly from that live connection — we do not use cached certificate data or third-party lookup APIs.
